toptentuesday2Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week is all about titles you’d pick if your book club liked a particular genre. I decided to go with contemporary Canadian lit (a mix of adult fiction, YA and middle grade) for a few reasons…I read a lot of Canadian authored works, and there are a slew of more recent, terrific, complex, out-of-the-ordinary titles that I think would make for great book club picks!

In no particular order, my top ten picks:

The Break by Katherena Vermette
The Best Kind of People by Zoe Whittall
Cadillac Couches by Sophie B. Watson
Y by Marjorie Celona
Road Ends by Mary Lawson
We’re All in This Together by Amy Jones
All My Puny Sorrows by Miriam Toews
The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen by Susin Nielsen
Flannery by Lisa Moore
The Truth Commission by Susan Juby

Bonus mentions:
The Unlikely Hero of Room 13B by Teresa Toten
The Summer We Saved the Bees by Robin Stevenson
