A festively fun and rather delicious post here, featuring a merry Tea Advent Calendar courtesy of the kind folks at Adagio Teas!
Hang on to your tea cozies because another tea post is here! And this one is just in time for the start of the holiday (and gift shopping!) season! As you may remember, I first had the chance partner with Adagio Teas for an awesome look at literary and fandom teas back in 2017; then I had the great luck of getting to taste some of their collection of Masters Teas just last month; now I had the fun (and mouthwatering) opportunity to take a look and taste at their special seasonal Tea Advent Calendar:
Listen carefully… can you hear the sounds of sleigh bells in the distance? Are there visions of sugar plums dancing around your head? If so, then you might just be as excited for the holiday season as we are and we have just the thing for you, our 24 Days of Tea Advent Calendar! This unique holiday item is packed with 24 different individually wrapped teabags of our most popular varieTEAS that are sure to help make this a very Merry Christmas. Dimensions: 12.5″ x 10.75″ x 3.5″
There is an abundance of advent calendars out there: everything from chocolates to beauty products, toys to hot sauce(!), and all sorts of unusual and cool niche ones out there! If you are a tea aficionado or are looking to surprise a committed and curious tea drinker, though, then I do hope you take a look at the Tea Advent Calendar from Adagio Teas.
You will be able to get a better sense of the calendar by taking a browse through the photos, but here’s a quick rundown of the advent calendar contents: 24 sachets of teas and no repeats!; each sachet contains one loose tea tea bag for brewing one cup of tea; a mix of popular teas from different categories/styles, so everything from green tea, herbal tea, black tea, rooibos, blends, and more; instructions for brewing, including recommending temperatures; and ingredient listings on each sachet. If you look at the webpage for the product, you can actually view a spoiler and see all 24 teas you want a full listing (and more pictures as well). Not to worry if you are more of a minimalist for teas, as you will see that there actually a good deal of “standard” or staple teas in there (like chamomile, peppermint, jasmine pearls, English breakfast, Earl Grey)- and don’t forget, you can always treat a family member or friend to a tea sachet of one that you’re not so keen on!
I have not had a chance yet to work my way through all twenty-four of the teas just yet, as, well, there are twenty-four teas (!), and I genuinely do want to save a few surprises for myself in December! The teas I have cracked into so far have been a great mix- there truly is something for everyone. If you are like me and kind of love trying EVERYTHING (while still appreciating your favourites), then there are awesome, standout teas in there like Chesnut (a delicious Ceylon black tea), Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry, Peppermint, Vanilla Rooibos (this quickly became a new surprise favourite), Gingerbread, White Blueberry (and of course, many more). I have had a taste of all of the aforementioned teas and they are really so tasty and flavorful- there is not a dud or less-than in the bunch (“two very enthusiastic thumbs up, fine holiday fun!). Also: the box itself is really pretty: simple but striking seasonal artwork, which makes it lovely to keep on display while you’re working your way through it!
My overall verdict? I have tried a few tea advent calendars over the last few years, and this one from Adagio Teas is my favourite one so far. Adagio Teas Tea Advent Calendar really is such a lovely, TASTY, and well put-together treat for the ardent tea drinker out there. Happy tea drinking!
