Welcome to the fifth edition of Must Read Monday! On Mondays I will spotlight some new and/or upcoming releases I am looking forward to. The lists will include all genres I like to read, everything from picture books to comics, children’s lit to adult fiction!

This week I am featuring upcoming titles from Meg Cabot and Anna Lee Huber:

Royal Wedding: A Princess Diaries Novel (The Princess Diaries #11) by Meg Cabot
Expected publication: June 2, 2015 by William Morrow & Company

I have been a longtime fan of Cabot’s popular The Princess Diaries series, so this release fills me with joy- and perhaps some trepidation as my expectations are high. I look forward to revisiting Mia, Michael, Tina et al., and am hoping that Meg Cabot has kept up the effervescence and charm that has made this series so wonderful and fun. This, the eleventh of the series, is being advertised as the first adult installment, so I’m not sure if this means that there are plans for more!

A Study in Death (Lady Darby Mystery #4) by Anna Lee Huber
Expected publication: July 7, 2015 by Berkley

If you enjoy historical mysteries with a dash of Austen-ish romance and haven’t yet tried out the Lady Darby mysteries, then I highly recommend them! The Anatomist’s Wife, book one of the series, reignited my interest in mystery novels and was one big influence in getting me hooked on historical fiction/mysteries. I find this series- with its well-defined female protagonist, intriguing mysteries, and winsome romance- to be utterly appealing (and gripping!).
